Provided it is plugged into a socket with an appropriate IP rating, the Stratus Infrared Patio Heater is suitable for DIY installation. For permanent outdoor fitting, the Stratus requires the services of a professional electrician as it must be hardwired to the mains.

The Stratus can be wall mounted only and is not suitable for ceiling mounted installation. Its raked brackets allow for 5 different angles, giving you improved versatility over your heating. The Stratus must be installed more than 180cm from the floor and at least 50cm from the ceiling and any adjacent walls. Please read the manual for further information.

This patio heater comes with a 1.8m cable and a UK fitted plug.

Featuring a robust IP65 rating, the Stratus prevents the ingress of fine particles and is resistant to low pressure jets of water. This rating is more than suitable for permanent installation outside in most cases, however, for particularly exposed locations, you may require a product with a higher protection rating.

Its soft ruby light will help to create the most relaxing atmosphere in any garden and once it has been switched on, this highly responsive patio heater will supply warmth in under 10 seconds, for outdoor heating you can rely on.

Optimal Control

The Stratus Infrared Patio Heater offers convenient control in a number of ways. Its unique, large touchscreen display is colour coded for enhanced readability and effortless manual adjustment. Symbols are blue when a function is inactive and red when a function is active, so you can easily tell which settings are on or off. Featuring a handy timer function that lets you program your heating on an hourly basis for up to 24 hours, the Stratus can be tailored to match your routine, giving you convenient heat management all day long.

Using the remote control provided, you can switch between two different output levels. Save energy by selecting P1 for 1000w output, or for maximum heat switch to P2 for 2000w output. Once you have your output set, you can then choose between nine different intensity levels to suit your outdoor space perfectly. Each level depends on the P1 an P2 output you have set, with P1+F1 being the lowest overall setting and P2+F9 being the highest.

Installation

The Stratus heats outside areas of up to 12m² making it a great solution for any small, domestic patio or garden. For larger spaces, multiple heaters can be used at once, which is ideal for commercial settings such as restaurant terraces and pub beer gardens.

Featuring an IP65 weatherproof rating, the Stratus can be installed outdoors with confidence. For DIY installation, it must be plugged into a socket with a suitable IP rating and can be easily wall mounted using the brackets provided. Hardwired installation must be carried out by a professional electrician, but this is usually a straightforward task .
