This thermostat will only connect to the SMART-R receivers on the back of Herschel Select XLS panels. It is not designed for use with any other infrared heaters. The MT thermostat can be used to control any number of Select XLS infrared panels.
The MT Mains Powered Thermostat can be either hardwired by a professional electrician or installed DIY by plugging it into a USB port. If used in a bathroom, it must be hardwired by an electrician in a zone 3 location.

Designed to control Herschel Select XLS infrared panels, this thermostat can be hardwired to the mains or plugged into a standard USB socket for versatile installation.
The MT Thermostat’s WiFi capabilities allow you to program your heating no matter where you are in the world. All you need is an internet connection and a compatible mobile device. By downloading the Smart Life app to your phone or tablet, you can set hourly temperatures for your heaters 7 days a week, switch between different modes and access a handy rundown timer. It also allows you to use your infrared panels with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant voice control for convenient, hands-free heat management.
Its manual interface includes a range of features such as open window detection and adaptive start, which operate automatically to reduce energy use with zero effort. The keypad can be locked to prevent anyone from altering your settings and is a useful feature for homes with younger children.
