    The Herschel Select Under Desk Infrared Heating Panel is designed for easy plug-in installation and comes with a UK fitted plug and 1.3m cable. Feet are supplied with each unit to allow it to act as a portable heat source. Please note that unlike other infrared panels, it does not come with wall mounting fixtures because it is designed for use as a freestanding, supplementary source of warmth.

    All of the fittings to attach the feet to the heater are included as standard. When screwing the feet into place, the screws should be tightened on the rear side of the heater as tightening them on the front face of the panel will damage the surface.

    The temperature of the panel can reach up to 90 °C so please ensure that you adhere to the clearance distances stated by the manufacturer (i.e. 300mm away from any solid objects). Always ensure that the panel is unobstructed as objects such as bags and filing cabinets can inhibit its spread of warmth.

    Herschel Select Under Desk Infrared Heating Panels are rated IP44 which means they are protected against splashing water; however, no portable electric heater is suitable for use in bathrooms.

Cold legs and feet are a common problem while you’re sat at your desk, whether you’re working from home or spending your hours at the office. So, to keep you comfortable and productive, you need the reliable warmth from the Herschel Select Under Desk Infrared Heating Panel.

This portable heater warms your extremities using gentle far infrared – the same type of heat produced by the human body – to keep you cosy and warm throughout the day. Infrared doesn’t need to heat the air to keep you warm and means that, unlike a fan or panel heater, it won’t make the air temperature stifling or the room feel stuffy. It just slips beneath your desk to provide unobtrusive, soothing warmth while you work. And, best of all, its radiant heat is so efficient that it costs just 3p per hour to run!

Controls & Programming

The Herschel Select Under Desk infrared heater offers WiFi programming when you download its compatible Smart Life app. By downloading the app, you can access in-depth programming for the whole week, selecting times and temperatures down to the minute, which you can set using a smartphone or tablet. Other options included with the Smart Life app are manual mode, override mode, holiday mode and a 24-hour timer function. The app also unlocks Amazon Alexa and Google Home voice control, so if you want to let your smart speaker handle everything for you, you can change temperatures without even lifting a finger.

If you don’t need WiFi heat management, the control panel on the rear of the heater will allow you to select a set temperature up to a maximum of 37 °C. The panel will warm continually to your set temperature when used manually and can be easily switched on and off with its convenient foot button.

Installation & Use

No complex setup is needed for this under desk heater: just plug it in at the wall and it’s ready to go. Each unit is supplied with feet which screw into place so you can position the panel in the room however you like. As this infrared heater is designed for infrequent, occasional use, it can’t be used as a wall mounted heating solution – it is for portable use only.
