    The Herschel Advantage IR360 is designed for a ceiling mounted fitting only and must be installed by a professional electrician. Please ensure it is mounted as per the manufacturer’s guidelines: 2.3 – 2.5m from the floor and no lower, at least 0.3m away from the ceiling, and 1.5m away from wall surfaces. The IR360 comes with its own brackets, however, it can also be suspended from chains or attached to an appropriate mounting plate.

    Though infrared radiant heat is not affected by the movement of air, the sensation of far infrared can be offset by persistent gusts and breezes that may come in from open windows, doors or roller shutters. This is because wind-chill can cool your body quicker than radiant heat can warm it, so please bear this in mind when choosing an installation location for your heater. In ideal conditions, the Herschel Advantage IR360 will be able to heat areas up to 15m², however, this can be reduced by up to a third in exposed locations.

    This product has an IP20 rating which means it offers no protection against water and limited protection against the ingress of solids. It is therefore unsuitable for installation in any location where it will be exposed to spraying water, splashes, drips or humidity. 

    To maximise the efficiency of your infrared heaters, we would highly recommend fitting them with additional controls. This can make them more versatile to use and also assist in reducing energy consumption to a minimum. We offer control units such as push-button timers, motion sensors and dimmers for outdoor heaters, as well as a wide range of thermostats for indoor installations. Though they may cost a little extra, heating controllers quickly pay for themselves by reducing your energy usage and your heating bills.

This Herschel ceramic heater has a unique configuration designed to provide a 360° spread of comfortable far infrared heat over a large area. It’s a ceiling mounted heating solution that’s tailor-made for expansive industrial spaces that can be hard to keep warm using conventional heaters.

Herschel ceramic heaters use far infrared heat to produce a comfortable sensation of warmth that can be felt on a deeper level compared to ordinary heaters. Their main advantage is that they combine the gentle heat of a domestic infrared solution but with a higher heat output that can project over large spaces. The ceramic elements take around five minutes to heat up because of the gentler form of infrared they use, but once they get to temperature, they provide pleasant heating that’s perfect for keeping staff, customers and clients warm throughout the day.

The Herschel Advantage IR360 is a ceiling mounted heater that uses three angled ceramic heating elements to provide warmth from all sides. Its 1950W output means that it has the potential to heat areas up to 15m² and can be used with other IR360 units to create thorough and even warmth throughout your entire space, no matter how large it may be. Although this product is designed to be mounted well out of reach, it also includes protective grilles to prevent the heating elements from being touched by accident. This ceramic heater is excellent for industrial environments as it produces no visible light when in use so you can be sure workstations will be well heated without any distracting orange glare.

The Herschel Advantage IR360 is designed for ceiling mounted fitting and can be mounted using the brackets provided or suspended from chains to the required height. No complex maintenance is required for this product and the only upkeep necessary is the occasional dust down with a soft cloth to ensure the heater runs as smoothly as possible. We highly recommend pairing your ceramic heater with a Herschel iQ thermostatic controller, which will ensure your energy usage is kept as low as possible and provide you with precision control over heat levels.
