    These Ecostrad Opus infrared heaters are designed for wall mounted fitting only – they must not be ceiling mounted. All relevant fixtures and fittings are provided so that they can be installed DIY. Simply mount the brackets to the wall, attach the panel and plug it into the nearest socket.

    Opus panels can be installed in bathroom zones 2 or 3, however, they must be hardwired to a fused spur by a professional electrician. This is not a DIY task. Always defer to the manufacturer’s guidelines regarding the bathroom suitability of any product.

    Please take care when installing multiple electric heaters to avoid overloading the ring main of your property. If you are unsure, always consult a professional electrician, who will be able to hardwire them to the mains via a fused spur if necessary.

Ecostrad Opus IR infrared wall panels are affordable heaters with a premium aesthetic. Designed with a frameless housing and crisp white finish, every home can enjoy efficient electric heating that takes up minimal space. It’s even easy to set up: each Opus IR panel comes with all the fixtures you need for DIY fitting and a remote control for point and press programming.

The Opus emits a gentle heat called far infrared, which is absorbed by the fabric of your property, keeping rooms warmer for longer. Unlike convection heaters, infrared isn’t affected by air movement and provides an enduring form of warmth that heats rooms using less energy. Opus panels use a carbon crystal film element that efficiently conducts heat and allows the appliance to be extra lightweight. These elements are covered with a patented coating that’s fire resistant, protecting the elements and allowing for improved heat conduction. Ecostrad’s premium Opus panels have a layer of polyurethane insulation at the rear to prevent heat loss to the wall and ensure warmth is directed out into the room.

Each Ecostrad Opus IR infrared wall panel comes with its own remote control which allows you to program a heating schedule for the whole week. Using its timer function, you can set a heating interval Monday to Friday, with separate schedules for Saturday and Sunday, so you can have your heaters switch off when warmth isn’t needed. It also includes an adaptive start function to pre-heat rooms, an open window sensor to save energy, as well as a comfort override option to temporarily heat at your desired temperature. The Opus IR requires no additional accessories: the remote contains the room thermostat and can be used with any number of Opus IR panels, which is handy if you have multiple heaters in the same space. If you want to use your heater manually or wire it into a different external control system, you can use the bypass switch on the receiver at the rear of the panel. This gives you the option of basic manual control if that’s all you need or the freedom to use it with the thermostat of your choice.

These Ecostrad Opus radiant panels are for wall mounted installation only, however, we also offer a range of ceiling panels if you prefer your heating out of reach. The Opus can be used in bathrooms but will need to be hardwired to the mains by a professional electrician.

You can program any number of Opus IR infrared wall panels with the remote so if you have multiple heaters in one space, they can all be set to follow the same schedule with little effort. Use a remote for each heater or use fewer remotes to create discrete zones throughout your property – with the Opus IR, you can group your panels together as you see fit.

External controller compatible

If you have another control system you want to wire the heater into, all you have to do is use the bypass switch on the rear of the Opus IR panel. This switch breaks the connection between the thermostatic remote and allows the heater to follow the instructions of your external controller, so you’re free to change how you manage your heating further down the line. The bypass switch can also be used if you just want a manual heater for occasional use. When used in this way, the Opus IR infrared wall panel will heat at its maximum output until it’s switched off at the mains.
