The Many Ways To Install a Far Infrared Panel Heater

The Many Ways To Install a Far Infrared Panel Heater

There are many advantages to installing far infrared panel heaters. They can help to cut down your energy usage, keep your home feeling warmer and more comfortable, and even have one or two health benefits according to some. There’s more to infrared heating panels than their energy saving potential though – they can help you create something very special in your home. They have a different look and feel than any other home heating system, and you’d be amazed at what you can achieve.

Normally the talking points of a new energy efficient heating system are whether or not it’ll save you money, how much energy they’ll use, and whether or not they’re clean and green. But what happens when all of those boxes are already ticked? Say you’ve found two or three different energy efficient heating options and you’re happy with all of them function – what’s the deciding factor? It comes down to things like, how easy are they to install? Where are they installed? How do they look?

This last one is particularly important when it comes to something as visual as you home heating system. After all, it’ll be visible in just about every room in your home and you’ll need to make space for wall mounted electric radiators on the wall or a place in the living room for a wood burning stove. But infrared panel heaters are kind of different, and if you want something alternative, that will give guests and visitors a real talking point, they might just be the right choice for you. Here are just some of the applications that are available with infrared panel heaters:

Put them on the ceiling

It sounds strange but it’s actually one of the most common ways of installing infrared panel heaters in more modern buildings. They can be painted and blend in seamlessly to the ceiling, or you can even decorate them with an elaborate pattern – whatever suits your current decor. The best thing about mounting them on the ceiling is that it’s also technically one of the best places to put infrared heating panels in terms of heat distribution.

Hang them on the walls

It doesn’t sound attractive right away does it? Popping a big white panel on the wall… but that’s just the thing, it doesn’t have to remain white. You don’t even have to limit yourself to a particular colour or design pattern either – you’re completely free to put whatever you’d like on your infrared panel heater. Why not get a print of your favourite painting or a family photograph? They can be hung on the walls in various rooms and leave visitors scratching their heads as to where the heat in your home is coming from.

Make it a mirror

Of course, this is a really popular choice for bathrooms, but really it can work anywhere in your home. In the same way you can paint any design or print onto an infrared heating panel, you can also make it a reflective surface – even putting a frame around it. Not only does this have the benefit of heating your home up subtly and freeing up wallspace where a radiator might once have sat, it’ll keep your mirror clear and steam free when installed in your bathroom.
